Project: Brand collaboration with Commonry, shot on location at MOSS Hotel, Hobart
Result: Lifestyle images of Commonry pieces worn by an everyday woman who loves the brand, set against the character of MOSS Hotel
Overview
Commonry is an Australian women's fashion brand. I was heading to Hobart to photograph MOSS Hotel, and I knew Commonry had pieces in their moss colour. It felt like a perfect match.
What I needed
I was going to be the model for some lifestyle images around the hotel, so I needed beautiful clothes to wear. I pitched the idea to Commonry, they loved it, and they provided the clothes.
As the photographer, sometimes I jump in as the model because I'm the only person on site but I prefer to photograph others for lifestyle shoots.
What I delivered
- Styled in the room: a trench coat, knit and handbag laid out on the bed, and clothing hanging in the timber wardrobe
- Moving through the hotel: a coat in the sandstone hallway, a jacket along the corridor, and a knit and skirt on the timber staircase
- Quiet moments: reading on the window seat and by the window, and an outfit beside the moss wall artwork
- Details: a handbag on the window seat beside the plant wall
The outcome
- A collection of lifestyle images provided to Commonry
- The images and a reel were shared on my own Instagram, introducing Commonry's pieces to my audience of travel and boutique hotel lovers, styled in a real hotel stay
