Overview

Bellroy is an Australian brand known for its bags, wallets and travel accessories. This was my first brand collaboration.


What I needed

For the Berkeley River Lodge shoot, I needed light, durable travel bags I could take on a small charter flight. I approached Bellroy, and they kindly provided several bags, plus a tech pouch and a toiletry bag. In return, I photographed them in use throughout the trip.


What I delivered
  • Arrival: a rust Bellroy backpack loaded into a light aircraft on the red-dirt airstrip, and a duffel beside the plane
  • In the villa: guests unpacking Bellroy bags, a duffel and pouch at the end of the bed, overhead shot showing what fits in a bag
  • Out exploring: guests carrying Bellroy backpacks to waterfalls, onto the boat and at the end of a fishing trip
  • Details: the toiletry bag on the edge of the outdoor stone bath, and the tech pouch and laptop on the deck overlooking the coast


The outcome
  • A set of lifestyle images showing Bellroy bags in use on a real trip, provided for Bellroy's social media
  • The bags held up beautifully on the charter flight, the boat and the trails
