Project: Brand and marketing photography for Amfora Studio, a ceramics studio in Abbotsford, Melbourne
Result: 100+ edited images covering classes, the studio and the finished work, delivered in a private client gallery
Overview
Amfora Studio is a ceramics school and studio at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne. It runs wheel-throwing and hand-building courses for beginners and intermediates, as well as workshops and studio memberships.
What they wanted
Marketing images that show what it's like to learn and make at Amfora, from hands on the wheel to the finished pieces.
What I delivered
- Candid portraits of the owner/teacher
- Students at the wheel, including close-ups of hands centring and shaping clay
- The light-filled studio, tools and colourful artwork
- Finished ceramics and works in progress
- 100+ edited images in a private online gallery
The outcome
A diverse image library to use for marketing across their social accounts and website.
- Branding – portraits of the owner/teacher for “About” page on website and LinkedIn
- Socials/website – various images of students working on pieces, close up detail shots, photos of finished pieces with blank space to add text, capturing teaching moments
- New business - interior/exterior shots to capture workspace, still life photography and portraits.
I worked alongside a videographer who was capturing footage for promotional reels. We worked well together and were able to capture action with stills and video at the same time which reduced disruption to the studio and provided different assets for different marketing purposes.
